Our approach is to tread carefully and listen deeply - we believe that people from all walks of life should be able to tell their story and put forward their ideas for change.
We’ve spoken with hundreds of people across Northern Ireland so far and will be keeping the conversation open: from quick chats to community tours, in-depth interviews to cups of tea at the bingo hall.
The focus of our work covers 3 main aspects:
Connecting a diverse movement of people who are
passionate about creating fairer places to live
All of our activities aim to inspire and connect people with a shared recognition that a more just future is possible. Meeting people and building relationships is at the heart of what we do, and we encourage people to stay in touch through online networks as well as face-to-face events.

Amplifying the evolving narratives of a place
Ethnographic and participatory research offers rich insights into the stories of peoples lives, told through their own voices and based on real, lived experiences. We aim to understand more about the positive values and aspirations that people hold as well as the challenges and inequalities they may face, so that collectively we can engage with narratives of a fairer future. Creative research outputs such as posters, videos and storytelling events help us to share these insights and bring more and more people into the conversation. Supporting people and communities who have
ideas for positive social action
One of the most exciting parts of Amplify NI is finding out about the ideas and energy that all sorts of different people have for creating fairer places to live. We know that great ideas for social action come in all shapes and sizes and are keen to support people in a range of ways: from workshops to nurture new ideas, to connecting people to useful networks and resources, to our structured Accelerator support programme. Take a look here to find out more about the Accelerator and the groups who’ve been involved so far, or get in touch with one of our local team members if you have other ideas about how we might be able to support you.
